Wildwood
Saw this tree at Wildwood yesterday, really old and gnarly- bit like the political system in this country.
Well Gordan Brown is about to take the plunge and call a General Election. About time and of course the news programmes have already started wheeling out the experts - as if anybody takes any notice of them.
All people are interested in are whether they will have to pay more tax and which party will cut services most.

Easter in Broadstairs
We took the dog for a stroll down the harbour today and we couldn't believe how many people where wandering around.
The market at the Harbour Arm was on today and my friend Ems cupcakes had had a really good day. Weather permitting it will be there tomorrow.
Popped into the craft fair at the Pavillion and bought a couple of scarves to add to my growing collection.
Then wandered up the High Street to the Italian Market which was doing a good trade as well.
It was so nice so see the place so busy.
Anyway we are having Roast Beef for dinner and it smells delicious!!! Must dash...............

Walking
As the weather has been quite reasonable the last few days I have been out and about on foot (saves on petrol).
On my travels I couldn't fail to notice the vast amounts of violets everywhere, this spring is turning into one of the best for a long time.
We have just returned from a wander into Broadstairs where there is an Easter egg hunt at Balmoral Gardens, it costs £2.00 and the kids get a large flake egg, not a bad deal - oh and watch out for the Badger!!!
Also there is an Italian Market tomorrow and Monday in Broadstairs - Olives mmmmmm!

Cor, what a beauty!!!
I'm glad I took this yesterday before the storm last night, as my poor daffs are looking a bit worse for wear today.
At least there are some benefits to living down south, with the North looking to having a very white Easter. Those poor old Easter bunnies will have to get their snow shoes out to deliver the eggs.
I caught a brief glimpse of the Chancellors (sounds like a band) last night very uninspiring. With my eldest allowed to vote, he has been asking a few questions about parties and policies to which I shrug my shoulders and sigh and say 'They are all the same really' what a shame!

The girls are back!!
My girls have started laying again hooray - no more shop bought eggs. You can't beat their eggs they just taste delicious (but I would say that wouldn't I).
They are actually in really good condition considering the winter we have just had.

What a porker!
We went for a drive in the country yesterday and came across a field with six beautiful pigs in it.
I wanted to put one in the boot of the car and take it home but common sense prevailed and I took some photos instead.
I would like to own a couple of pigs and then eat them - think crispy bacon and sausages, but it is surprising the number of people who get all strange about the thought of that (where do they think Tesco get theirs from, at least mine would have had a happy life before being dispatched). ho hum!

A little peice of spring
What a difference a week makes. As you can see I have an amazing display of daffodils, far more than last year and the tulips are doing well as well.
I find today one of the better days of the year - firstly it is the first day of spring hooray! and secondly its my birthday (I have a very large chocolate cake sitting in the kitchen jut begging to be eaten but I am going to share it with friends tonight - oh the self control!)
Anyway just a comment on a previous post about the cliff at Stone Bay, as suspected no work has happened yet!

Stone Bay Cliff Face
All the beach hut owners in the bay just along from Stone Bay have been told that we can't put our huts down the beach until the 1st May, it was supposed to be 1st April (gives me a bit more time to repaint mine).
A friend who was fed up at the thought of having to wait, rang the council who told her that the cliff face has crumbled rather badly over the winter and they are going to shut the prom and put netting over the cliff face, this is supposed to be starting asap - we will see!
